5 Things to Try in your Follicular Phase

Technically the follicular phase begins on day one of our periods however we often refer to our period as the menstrual phase and the follicular phase as the time between the end of our bleed and ovulation. For the sake of this article, we're going to concentrate on our period-free part of the follicular phase.

1. Mind map your goals

Our menstrual phase can be a time of deep introspection. Bring forward the wisdom from that phase into the bigger picture of your life. What changes took place in your last cycle? What have you let go of or want more of? Visualize how your life looks in your wildest dreams and then work backward; want are your five-year goals that can help make that happen, one-year goals, 6 months, etc.

2. Go for a walk without your phone

You’ve just reemerged from a period of reflection during your monthly bleed. It can make us brood and focus intensely on ourselves. Take time to reconnect with nature without interruptions. Spend time looking around your community – making a conscious effort to remind yourself of your place within the large identity of where you live.

3. Try a new hobby

Your energy levels are likely to be climbing now your period is over. It’s time for a challenge, a test; to push your own boundaries even. This can be a great time to try a new physical hobby or a creative past-time that allows you to make new connections and friendships.

4. Schedule for your next cycle

It might feel tempting to charge on ahead and forget that in around 24 days you’ll be visited once again by Aunt Flo. If you plan now according to your cycle phase energy, premenstrual-you will be so grateful. That means; planning your work tasks, exercise and social events accordingly. Don't forget to mark in your calendar when you should switch to your other bia seed cycling blend.

5. Deep clean your space

The follicular phase isn’t called inner Spring for no reason. Having a freshly cleaned space influences how we feel inside too. This phase of our cycle is all about planning and moving back into action so decluttering your space can help with your fresh start.
